Yesterday at the Conference Meet, each Panther ran their personal best. The 8th grade girls came in 5th place, and the 8th grade boys came in 6th place. The 5th-7th grade boys came in 2nd place. The 5th-7th grade girls came in 2nd place and missed 1st place by 1 point. One of the greatest aspects of Cross Country is that it is an open sport. It is incredible to see so many students from Frederick and GMS participate and develop friendships, teamwork, and perseverance to achieve their personal goals. The coaches thank all of our runners for their sportsmanship. Please join the sectional runners this Saturday as GMS hosts the meet at the middle school. The first race begins at 10AM. Go Panthers! It's raining, it's pouring, but the Grayslake Cross Country Panthers were SOARING! The 5-6th, 7th, and 8th Grade Girls Teams all came in 3rd place against 25 schools! The 5-6th Grade Boys Team came in 5th, the 7th Grade Boys Team came in 4th, and the 8th Grade Boys Team came in 8th out of 25 schools. In the Open Race, Grayslake had 3 runners in the Top 10 out of 138 runners. Congrats to all cross country runners. It was a wonderful afternoon. GMS Cross Country Home Meet with Hawthorn North with Barrington Prairie Girls Results Boys Results Rain, wind, and dark skies did not damper the thunderous cross country team as the girls and boys team came in first against Hawthorn North and Barrington Prairie. The Panthers will be a lightning rod this afternoon as they leave the competition in the fog at the Hawthorn Invitational. Go Panthers! |
